Removable Gate for Mezzanine
This job was a unique "one-off". This mezzanine needed a removable gate to fit inside a wooden frame. The purpose is for it to be a removable safety barrier to load and unload materials. This was in a utility building to support the housing authority in South Portland.

After fitting all the pieces and welding this gate together, I had it propped up to clean all of the welds. Hands will be on this often. It's important all that spatter gets removed.
There were some adjustments required to get this to be a comfortable fit. Metal fitting into wood can be problematic but it eventually worked out.
The receiving tubes got mounted to the wood first. Then the two legs at the frame of the gate slide into those receiving tubes. It's fairly heavy, but two people can easily lift this up and out and they can easily put it back into place.
Here's a more close-up view of it. This perspective is from standing on the main floor looking up.
Zoomed out, you can see the orientation of the mezzanine and why this gate was needed. With careful planning, thinking, patience and the willingness to overcome challenges, any odd job can be accomplished.
